Introducing Host Flash™ hosts file manager for Linux. Host Flash™ blocks access to domains that host undesirable content such as ads, malware and adult images. The program runs on Debian Linux computers like Ubuntu and Kubuntu.
In a nutshell, Host Flash™
- downloads up to 8 hostname blacklists
- merges those lists into one large compilation of bad hosts
- adds a locally stored custom list of bad hosts into the mix
- removes duplicate bad host entries from the compiled list of bad hosts
- removes user defined white-listed hosts from the compiled list of bad hosts
- installs the fully compiled bad hosts list into the computer’s hosts file
This setup program is interactively, which makes host file management quick and easy.
