A good and free way to increase traffic to your websites is to use banner exchanges and directories.
With a banner exchange you agree to place banners for other websites on your site and in return the other site displays your banner. Using one banner on one site is next to useless so fortunately banner exchange groups exist that pool loads of ads from different publishers. Using one of these groups is simple, you add your banner to their pool, place their script on your web pages and they display your ad on other sites for a ratio of views of their ads on your site. That ratio could be 1:1 i.e you display one of their ads once, they display one of your ads once; that ratio could even be 2:1; and you can usually buy extra impressions at low cost, say $10 for 10,000 impressions – which is very low cost advertisement.
As well as using banner exchanges to build site awareness and accessibility, webmasters can submit their site to directories.
